Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite holidays. Though, I suppose if you frequent my blog you would know all holidays are my favorites. Valentine’s Day is special because it’s a day for celebrating love. Since I was little, my Valentine’s have been filled with chocolate, flowers, cards and stuffed animals. I’m lucky to have had a family that never allowed me to feel alone on Valentine’s Day. Now that I have a boyfriend it is all the more exciting. My boyfriend never celebrated Valentine’s Day in his past relationships, so I get the honor of making it super special for him. Lucky for him, I’ve been pinning about Valentine’s Day ideas years before I knew he existed. Hopefully, you can find some inspiration from this post and get some Valentine’s Day gift ideas for your man.
I Wish Booklet/ What I Love About You
These are the SWEETEST little gift ideas I’ve ever seen. The tiny little books are filled with 50 pages of prompts and fill-in-the-blank spaces. I personally bought the “What I Wish for You by Me” book. I almost got the “What Makes You Hot” book, but I decided to go the sentimental route. These books ARE some of the SWEETEST Valentine’s Day gift ideas. Your guy will love it.
Pro tip – I got mine at TJ Maxx a couple of weeks ago. So if you want you can try to get it there for a little cheaper. If not, you can always use my link to find it on Amazon.
Also, on Amazon, there are a lot of different cute little books to choose from. My faves are:
It took my boyfriend’s roommate always wearing the snazziest sweaters for me to even notice my boyfriend’s lack of sharp looking attire. After talking to my boyfriend, I realized that he likes dressing nice, he just doesn’t like buying clothes for himself. Ladies, if your guy doesn’t dress nice, it may just be because he doesn’t like shopping. You can brighten his day, and enhance his wardrobe by picking up some nice looking sweaters that he’ll love, and you’ll love on him.
For all of those ladies with knitting/sewing/crocheting talent (NOT ME), what could be more sentimental than a handmade hat? Handmade gifts can make some of the best gifts! From my experience, men aren’t looking for super expensive or fancy gifts. They like to know that you are thinkiing about them. And if you give them a hat they’ll know that you’ve been thinking about their well-being. If you have the talent of making things with your hands, use it to bring your man a one of a kind gift made by you. Of course, if you’re like me, you could always just buy one.
Scarves are also cute little Valentine’s Day gift ideas. Valentine’s Day is in February meaning that it will still most likely be chilly (unless you live in Hawaii or Florida or something). Just like the hat idea, if you give your guy a scarf he’ll know you were thinking about his well-being and thinking about him staying warm, which is always a heartwarming thought.
Beware with this one though. While you could make him a scarf, my friends and I have a theory that giving handmade scarves to your loved one is like a breakup curse. Every time that we know of where a girl gave a handmade scarf to a guy, they broke up shortly after. (It kind of worked out for me though since my boyfriend got a handmade scarf from his ex).
Special Phone Cases
Matching couple things are honestly the cutest. There are so many cool ways to go about phone cases. You can do something simple like getting matching phone cases or something a little more extreme like getting each other’s’ faces on each other’s’ phone cases. My really good friend’s girlfriend got him matching phone cases for Christmas and he loved it, so I know this idea is a winner.
If phone cases really aren’t you or your boyfriend’s thing, you can always go with matching T-shirts. There are gazillions of ideas for matching t-shirts. You can get creative and design your own, or browse through Amazon to see all of the ideas there. I personally love the Mickey and Minnie Mouse matching t-shirts below.
An Instax Instant Camera is one of the cutest Valentine’s Day presents you could get. Instax Cameras are cute ways to celebrate and create memories with your guy. After you give him the camera you can use it to take pictures of special times you have together and save the photos to make a special collage for him in the future.
A Canvas Picture of You Two Together
Celebrating Valentine’s Day with your man is about celebrating the love you two share together. Giving your guy a canvas of your favorite picture together will brighten his Valentine’s Day and also every other day that he sees it. He can hang it up somewhere to look at when he is having a rough day, or when he misses you. Giving him a high-quality canvas picture of the two of you is honestly one of the sweetest things you could do.
My boyfriend is kind of weird because he doesn’t like candy. But every other guy that I know likes candy. There are so many cute assortments of candy available around Valentine’s Day. If you’ve been with your guy for a while, you probably have a pretty good idea of what he likes.
I cannot even express how much guys like it when their girls bake for them. I guess I can’t speak for all guys, But I know how much my boyfriend, and every other guy I ever talked to likes it. My boyfriend prefers brownies, but every guy might have a different preference. Baking is a homemade gift that will make your guy feel like you care about his nourishment and contentedness. You could even go the extra mile by baking whatever you choose into something heart shaped. Baking your guy something personalized and sweet is one of the most romantic and sweet Valentine’s Day gift ideas!
This is such a typical Valentine’s Day gift, but that doesn’t make it bad. I love it when my boyfriend smells good, and he loves the cologne that I get him. If you don’t like the cologne your boyfriend wears, Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to let him know you don’t like it without saying it. Just give him a bottle of something you do like. My boyfriend likes Versace Pour Homme. If you don’t have any ideas of what you like, check this one out to start with and then go from there.
This one may only apply to my boyfriend. My boyfriend is from China, where people tend to be a lot more concerned with their skin than America. Therefore, my boyfriend is ALWAYS asking me to do research and find the best thing for under his eyes, to get rid of acne, dark spots, lines, etc. I actually love it that my boyfriend cares about his skin like I care about mine. Getting your guy into skincare could be a rewarding thing for both of you. Not only would it build a mutual interest, but it could keep you both looking your best. Some ideas are
Eye Cream – This eye cream has super high reviews on Amazon and is 55% off today. (I’m snagging some for my boyfriend as soon as I publish this post).
I’m a HUGE fan of subscription boxes. They’re the perfect way to let someone know you are constantly caring about them. Who doesn’t like receiving a gift repeatedly? If you give a subscription box to your boyfriend for 3 months, he will think back and remember Valentine’s Day and how thoughtful you are each time he receives it or uses what’s inside.
These are a few of my favorites for gift ideas:
Nature Box – Nature Box is a really great snack food subscription box. I didn’t think I would like it at first, but me and my boyfriend both like it because of the garlic plantains and Kung Pao pretzels. If you use my link to sign up, you can get a free box to try it.
Degusta Box – Degusta Box is another food subscription box that brings all kinds of snacks and delicacies to your door. This is a great gift because what guy doesn’t love food? You can use my link to get 50% off your first box, as well as free shipping.
Stitch Fix – Stitch Fix is a really popular subscription box where you take a survey and then each month based on the survey a stylist creates a box filled with good-looking attire. You can get the styling fee waived through my link. Get your guy a Stitch Fix for men subscription to keep him stylish.
Watches are totally out of the picture for me to give to my guy because he already has a much nicer watch than anything I could get him. But if your boyfriend isn’t sporting some fancy Omega Watch already, getting him a nice, quality, mildly priced watch is a sweet Valentine’s Day gift idea. I personally really like Movement and Timex Watches!
The myth that females like shoes more than males has been being debunked since 6th-grade math class where we took a poll at who had the most shoes. In a lot of cases, the boys in my class actually had more and liked getting shoes a lot more than girls. My boyfriend likes getting new shoes, and I’m sure your guy does too. Get your guy a nice pair of Nikes or Adidas for Valentine’s Day. You can write something corny like “I’m so glad you walked into my life” or something like that and you’ll have yourself a nice romantic Valentine’s Day gift for your guy.
A handwritten love letter is quite possibly the most romantic gift you could ever give your boyfriend. It’s an eloquent way to literally spell out how you feel for him. My boyfriend dreads reading, but he loves getting romantic letters. And I love writing them for him because it helps me to really think about all the ways I am thankful for him. It strengthens our relationship’s bond. Valentine’s Day is a more than appropriate occasion to open up and spill your heart out to your guy.
I hope this post helped you out and gave you some good Valentine’s Day gift ideas. Please share some of your ideas in the comments! Also, if you need some ideas for saving up some money for these gifts check out these apps for making money.
